“Vanessa began coaching our oldest daughter in 2015 (age 10) and our youngest daughter in 2018 (age 9). Our daughters have very different personalities and have different riding goals, yet Vanessa meets the needs of both effortlessly. She has coached our oldest daughter from fun beginner lessons through to skill-based lessons designed to prepare riders for competition. Vanessa regularly shows her coaching versatility by preparing our daughter for schooling, Trillium and A-Circuit shows in Equitation, Hunter and Jumper arenas. She regularly engages us and both our daughters in conversations about their goals, and then works with us to support and achieve those goals. Vanessa works hard to explain her coaching and offers an abundance of positive feedback. Both of our daughters are at ease with Vanessa and feel appreciated for their efforts.

As parents with no knowledge of riding or horse care, we appreciate that Vanessa teaches riding skills, safety and animal care to all her riders. Not only does she teach our daughters, but she regularly answers our questions too. Vanessa has helped us to build our knowledge so that we can understand what our children are learning and talk to them about their riding experiences.
